I received a PM from a new member about what to do when your 12 year old MEFI-2 gives out. These ECUs are obsolete so it is an expensive ordeal when you are faced with it. I gave the new member my opinion but perhaps there are others out there that have done this. What did/would you do and how much did/would it cost?

As for me, I would cough up the $1900 that AZ S&M is charging and buy a hardware/software solution that does not tie me to a marine dealer.

If I wanted to cheap it out I would buy a RAM JET 350 module/harness setup for $600 and live with the sub optimum calibration.

Any other Ideas?

Hmmm no replies...Is this an indication that the MEFIs are a highly reliable part or do you all just have new boats ? Dontknow.gif
