1990 Ski Ray by SeaRay: bet nobody else had one---but I knew the dealer.

I'll take that bet. '94 Ski Ray. The absolutely best built ski boat ever made. Quality from stem to stern. Ski'd worse than anything I've EVER been behind. I really miss the quality, but do not miss the performance.

Did you have the closed bow, or the open bow?

'96 Aquatron 160 (cheap)

"94 Ski Ray ( best built)

'01 Response LX (my favorite all time)

'05 Response LXi

i almost bought a Ski Ray.

1. 1986 Sport Craft 15.5 bowrider (not in the poll, but have to mention it as I learned on it)

2. 198? 17' Jcraft 199? 115 yamaha (had it for 1 summer - really got me into skiing and footing)

3. 1979 Ski Supreme - bought in 1996 for 7500 - sold it in 2002 for 6000 - great boat and got me hooked on inboards.

4. 1990 Ski Nautique 196 - dont hold it against me... but in 1990 nobody made a better boat, including malibut

5. 1994-1997 Malibu - hope to buy a flightcraft sportster, response, echelon, or sportster in the next few years to replace the nautique.

I love inboards!!!

I've had my 2004 ws xti and my 1989 sunsetter euro.

I learned how to ski on a family friends 70 something Arena Craft inboard. Gold in color with a bench seats for the driver and across the back and 2 small jump seats backwards next to the engine. One of the oldest ski boats I've ever seen. Found this which is a color and brand match, but theirs was an inboard direct drive version.

2004 Response LXi

1993 Echelon LX

1960 Magnolia Catamaran, 16' with twin 75HP Merc outboards

Still in possession of the 1960. It makes today's inboards look like dogs, out of the hole, and has the smallest wake you will ever find.

Man Martho pull this poll back from the dead,

I get to add 2001 Sunsetter VLX and a 2005 Response LXI to my list.

7 boats in less than 3 years, I think I have a problem!

1990 Brendela super comp

1995 MB sports 190

2000 MB sports 190+ ( one of the best ski wakes )

2005 MB sports 220 B52 DD ( hated this wake )

2008 Malibu 23LSV Dimond bottom loaded ( have kids now, wake is actualy not bad )

Its funny how kids change the way we look at our needs and the difference it cost us. For a big boat the new 23 is very nice to ski behind, it is not a 19 ft turnament boat but it works well for all around.

1993 Ski Brendella Shortline Comp

1994 Mastercraft Prostar 190

I didn't include my 1978 Tahiti Jet with the 455 Oldsmobile. Scarry boat. Too fast.

I've got pics of them all too.

To add something to this when I went to purchase my first V-drive I was planning on purchasing an X-Star but the Mastercraft dealer treated my wife and I like we couldn't afford the boat, look how bad they screwed up!

off topic, but i sympathize with you.......when I went to buy my first boat, I had done lots of research, and had my heart set on an X-1. I mean, I was 100% ready to buy an x-1,that day, no questions asked......then I talked to the dealer here in PDX......he spent more time telling me about how 'badass' he (and his boat) were, than selling me a boat....when I asked him why I should buy a MC over another boat, he went into a 10 min. rant on how Malibu's were peices of sh*t.......I immediately went to the Malilbu booth at the boat show, checked em out, and bought one. I guess I have him to thank for owning the boat I do... and I just bought another one.....and the next one I buy will be a Malibu too! I'm sure the local Malibu dealer that I bought my boats from would be glad to know they have a salesman over at Portland Ski Boat Center!!!!!!
