PP Precision Pro Speed Control

Recommended Posts

smedman

We have PP on our 06 vRide.

On our boat we have to be below 3mph (approx) in order to turn it on (when hitting the red button). Otherwise nothing happens.

I noticed when I demoed the 07 boats this year on the water that I could turn the speed control on and off while driving at higher speeds. (15-20mph).

Does anyone know is there there a way to make it work like the 07 models?

Thanks!

I would think a reflash would take care of this issue.

What's a reflash?

From what I understand it is like reprograming the boat's computer.

Something that the dealer will need to do. It re-calibrates the engine management systems & can be used to change things like this. FWIW, I can't engage mine above 5mph, but to be honest PP won't let you engage unless you're in neutral & not moving so that's an improvement to my mind (although you do have to re-set it each time you shut off the engine).
