To answer you question, the trusted Mr. Clean Magic Eraser would work......

BTW, now I'm going to have to head down to UWS to make your dream a reality :tease2:

I just used these on my whole interior, I can not believe the difference it made.

I was able to remove surface spots that were on the boat from the previous owner, two years ago. I exhausted every vinyl cleaner out there.

My interior is actually white and not cream colored Surprised.gif

These things are the bomb

Sorry for the hijack! That was Good Andy

So Henken, does Mr.Clean really work that well?

I have some mysterious off white spots on my engine cover that I've been trying to get out. I have no idea how they got there.

Doug,

I can not emphasize enough how well they work, you'd think I was advertising for them.

On some of the tougher spots a little elbow grease was required, eventually they came out.

I took a bucket of warm/hot water, scrubbed a certain area, and followed it with a dry towel.

It got to the point where I had real visible spots that had been clean, so I did the whole interior with them

Andy,

I thought at first that ELF got to your boat. Glad it was only a sick, twisted dream! Crazy.gif

Here's the story from the Sacramento Bee about the latest from ELF.... I copied it so you don't have to sign up just to read the story...

Five SUVs are vandalized in Fair Oaks

By Edgar Sanchez

Published 2:15 am PDT Wednesday, May 18, 2005

FAIR OAKS - Working under the cover of darkness, vandals spray-painted the letters "ELF" - an acronym for the eco-terrorism group Earth Liberation Front - on several sport-utility vehicles early Tuesday, authorities said.

"Five vehicles were vandalized and some had their tires slashed," said Sgt. R.L. Davis, spokesman for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. "The word 'polluter' was also spray-painted on some of the cars."

The vandalism, on the 7400 block of Walnut Road and on Midiron Drive, was discovered before 5 a.m., Davis said.

"Right now, we're treating it as a vandalism," Davis said, adding there are no suspects.

In another incident, the words "Bomb the White House" were spray-painted early Tuesday over a real estate sign on Madison Avenue near Dewey Drive, also in Fair Oaks, Davis said.

That incident is being investigated by the FBI and the Secret Service. Officials for those agencies could not be reached for comment late Tuesday.

I'd like to see this Mr. Clean. I had someone tag an apartment building with vinyl siding and the only thing I could find to remove Magic Marker was a wire brush and acetone. Not something I would want to take to a Malibu.

Good one Jet.

And I wasn't being missleading. I REALLY had that dream. That's why I was able to put in all the details and pound it out so quickly. It was VIVID.

And fortunately I can't remember what I dreamt last night :) So all's good.

Andy, you suck! Tongue.gif It made my heart skip.... (I bet they did not take off their shoes before knifing your interior either!!!! Biggrin.gif

But to answer your original question...Laquer thinner will take off Sharpie. (and possibly the shine from the gel also...)

Glad it was just a dream--I mean nightmare. :)

Nothing is more Chicken %$#@ than messing with someone else's toy.

It would take everything I had not to pop them with the 9mm.

Do these Mr. Clean things work on the hull? I've got a black scuff mark that I'd like to get rid of.

I cleaned my seats with them. They are a special sponge material that gets into the little crevices of the vinyl. I use a little soft scrub with them as a cleanser. They didn't take the stains out of my engine cover but everything else looks great.

I don't think they will take out the scuffs, but they may get the dark out of the scuff if you use a cleanser like soft scrub.
