1992 Sunsetter Euro F3 - No Start

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

My oldest son just bought a 1992 Sunsetter Euro F3 and for some reason we only hear a "click" when I turn the key. Is there a kill switch I am missing or something else? I have a 2009 Wakesetter, and I know I have to clip the lanyard on that boat.

It started before and I remember the previous owner walking us through the steps: 1) pull out the safety switch, 2) put the throttle handle in the neutral (middle) position, and 3) turn the key. Now, just a click.

Thoughts and advice??

Always appreciate this forum!!

I own the same Boat, (1992 Euro F3 Sunsetter) It did not come with a lanyard or kill switch from the Factory. Not saying one wasn't installed later.

You might have Battery Issue. Check all connections even the cable on the starter.

Check all the electrical connections for corrosion and continuity (are they tight), also jiggle both the throttle lever and the transmission engagement lever at the trans, the safety switch can be temperamental.  After that you may have to pull the starter for service.
