Monitoring rear plug and play ballast on 2017 21VLX

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have experience with adding a longer float to the hard ballast tanks? I want to do something similar to how the new models are built. I searched, but I didn't find anyone doing exactly what I’m asking. It seems like a pretty simple concept, so the lack of info leads me to believe that it’s a bad idea.

Here's a picture of the float on one of my rear hard tanks.

The red arrow on the right is the ballpar k area of where the float is.

I threw together a quick drawing of what I want to do. I would like to cut a hole in the panel above the float, 3D print something along the lines of the item in red, and then add a longer float.  From what I'm finding, the floats are pretty standard on the ohms no matter the length. I assume I would also need to vent the new riser to the same vent as the hard tank?

I'm of the opinion that if it doesn't work I could just put everything back to stock and print a plug for the hole in the floor.

The end goal that I'm hoping to achieve is to be able to select 75% on rear tanks and end up with the bags around 1/2 full. I have zero experience with screwing with ballast tanks, floats, or vents.
