Does anyone send a oil pressure sender that actually lasts?

The LS1 in our boat uses this sending unit for the oil pressure gauge (not for the ECU - uses the GM factory one for that):

They fail constantly.  A new one might last a day, week, month, or maybe a year.  But recently, more like a day or month.  They typically work fine under idle and cruising, but under higher load (either going fast or surfing), the oil pressure starts bouncing all over the place.  At first, it will bounce from 40-60, then it will start bouncing all over, typically bouncing lower, and then going 0 - 40.  Pull back to idle or cruising and it will work fine.  Wait long enough and it will start bouncing no matter the engine load.

Swap it out (which is an arm-cutting affair), and it will work fine, even under high load.  I just replaced it - again - a few weeks ago, and first two outings it was great.  Now, starting the 40-60 bounce.  Oil is fresh and level is full.  This has been going on for years.  I'll pay all the money for one that will actually last - anyone know of one I can buy?

Could the near sender piping be the problem? Try swapping out the sender and switch.

@Nitrousbird- I would not expect a simple pressure sender to fail at all over the lifetime of a boat engine.  It is much more likely that the problem is in the wire harness somewhere.  A fairly low range of resistance spans the pressure range, so a bad connection somewhere will cause problems quickly.  My vote is the engine harness connector.

I'm pretty sure your boat will still have the round Cannon plug with split male pins as the engine harness connector.  Break the connection and use a small blade to *gently* spread the male pins so they are a little wider at the tips.  Put a very small dab of your favorite dielectric grease (my favorite is silicon grease or even regular axle grease) on the tip of each pin and mate the connector (it has an alignment arrow on each rubber housing) and reinstall the band clamp if it had one.
