2015 23LSV DIY Vent for PnP bags

Recommended Posts

Hey crew!

Last year I replaced some sumo sacs with the custom fit wakemakers bags and I love them, but noticed there is a lot of trapped air when filling them.  I've been burping them to remove air when filling.  Not a huge deal, and this was probably the case with the old bags but I just didn't notice it or pay attention until after I replaced the bags last year.

In any case, I know the hard tanks under them are vented, so I bought some hose, tees, and quick connects in hopes of just tapping into the vent line from the hard tanks when I put the bags in this year.  That time has come, and I'm wondering the following:

1. Is what I got sufficient, or do I need a check valve or anything else?

2. Does anyone know the plumbing config on this boat to easily identify which line/thru hull is for the existing vent?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
