Just picked up a set of the new Polished Aluminum Malibu Logos for my 06 LSV. Any tips on drilling into the boat? Both the Sides, the Rear, and the LSV logo all require holes for proper installation.

make sure that you use masking take where you want to drill so the gel coat does not chip. have a sharp drilbit. you also might want to counter sink the holes also. Biggrin.gif

I hear starting by drilling in reverse is a good way to keep from chipping the gelcoat.

Good luck.

Chamfer the edges to keep it from spidering out from the holes.

You're drilling holes in your beautiful boat? Crazy.gif

I've seen ropes, swimsuits, .... catch on the new logos already. One logo got ripped halfway off when it caught on a dock bumper.

I'll stick with the drip molded decals Thumbup.gif
