Convert manual winch to power.

Recommended Posts

Well, if any of you read my previous post about feedback about a hoist. I picked it up yesterday.

It, of course, has the manual winch on it. I will be converting it to an electric winch.
My question is, does anyone know what motor "boat lift buddy" uses for their solution?

Seems easy enough and I can source a rubber drive wheel pretty easily and make a couple brackets without much fanfare.
But in a few searches I can't seem to find the "right" electric drive motor.

That being said, I can get a wireless 4500lb winch for 150 bucks. Which I've done in the past and my buddy has as well with great success.
I'd just need to find a flat plate (winch side) to tube mount. Or I guess just a clamping ubolt like exhaust would be fine.

Thoughts, comments?
