HELP!!! Bimini Top Backordered from Malibu?? 3 Months?

I purchased a 2022 Malibu 23 LSV from my local Malibu Dealership back in March. During transit the Bimini top was damaged and they had to order a new one to replace it and make the sale right. Its beyond frustrating not to have some shade as temps rise. Dealership is telling me there is no ETA on delivery. Has anyone else seen or heard of Bimini tops being back ordered for newer models?? 2.5/3 Months seems like a excessive amount of time. I'm hoping someone has a connection to a dealership and might be able to give some insight and confirm or deny.

You are going to drop some coin no matter what you end up getting. If you need just the canvas, I would contact towerbiminis.com. I had them make the replacement canvas and boot for my 2010 when it wore out. Their product was noticeably thicker and of better workmanship than the Malibu one it replaced. They can probably replicate an exact replacement.

Tell the dealership you want one off the showroom floor. My clamping rack was broken and they told me I had to bring it in and they would ship to PTM for repair and it would be a few weeks. I told them that’s totally unacceptable for a brand new $2,500 rack. I said I’ll take one off the showroom boat that have been for 8 months. They agreed and I switched out the other day.

Speaking of biminis, is everyone else’s permanently stained with white marks? My dealership said this is standard with it being rolled up. I find this ridiculous.

The dealership is paying for the replacement. They won't replace with anything other then Malibu factory parts.

I did try to ask if we could pull one off another showroom floor boat and was basically ignored. Its extremely frustrating as we spend long days on the water and get scorched without it. Its probably a post for another thread but I have not had the greatest experience with this dealership but locally have no other option for Malibu.

Seems weird - where do they say the white marks are coming from?  Granted, I've only had mine a couple years and it is from Bakes not Malibu - but there are not any marks on it and it is rolled up most of the time (in the garage)

The white marks have been there since delivery. I’ve tried to wipe off with soapy water with no luck.

Interesting.  Mine had some chalk lines in a few places - centering lines I suppose from when they were making it.  But they just wiped off.
