Strong or weak spark?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I’m troubleshooting my 2001 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV after having some trouble dewinterizing. I’ve been able to get the engine started only twice (once on day one, once on day 2), but then it has stalled and won’t start again. It sounded OK while running.

I’ve tested fuel pressure (good) and inspected fuel (appears ok, not brand new)

I did pull one spark plug and there appears to be some carbon fouling - I plan to replace them all shortly but want to troubleshoot upstream first.

I’m on to ignition spark testing. Can anyone help me assess whether this spark would be considered good or not? Observed directly out of the coil.

Just a few years ago, but have battled some moisture problems over those years. Contacts all look clean but there is corrosion on outside of coil for sure
