Also,

Home D, Lowes, and larger hardware stores sporadically.

These days there are a lot of choices in size if you shop on line.

If you want a really good one that will last in snow conditions you might want to check these out. I would personally recommend people to look at half-round style fabric sheds (portable garage), not the pitched roof style.

We have used some large ones on our property for over 6 years now. We got 30" of snow in 22 hours a few weeks ago which didn't faze these.

Hi Peter,

Did you go with the Poly or Vinyl material?

I have what Peter is showing made by Cover-it. It was given to me by a friend in '03 and is still going strong. I don't know how long he had it before that. Best bet is to set these up in a shaded spot if you can, because the sun will cut its life in half (at the least). They handle snow loads and high winds very well.

Poly is fine - it's lighter/easier to put up, and is more resistant for garages that are used often. The vinyl apparently is more UV resistant so the fabric has a longer life, but the poly has worked excellent for us.

It appears that next year will be our first year to replace fabric, and I think that will be year 7 of hard use.

I bought mine 5 years ago and it's still (knock on wood) going strong. I went straight to the source which is "cover it" which is located in CT. I called 15+ places and I figured out that 90% of the heavy duty, quality tents come from "cover it" and they slap their own name on it. Good Luck!!!

I have the Northern Tool one mentioned above. It is a very well constructed unit. The directions were horrible, but after a couple calls to tech support, I eventually got it figured out. I still only had the time to put one of the doors on it, but it has managed to keep the bu' dry all winter (East Central PA).....I got the 28 foot version which had plenty of room for my bu' and my father-in-law's lawn tractor and tow-behind leaf mulcher.

Thanks all for the input. Found a good one with windows/vents at Costco for $180. I am pretty sure I got a steal based on some of the price lines I have been seeing as I have looked around online.

Thanks Crew! Yahoo.gif

Ours is a 12' x 24' x 10' Round Style Boat/SUV Garage (Tan74352 / 340 lbs. / $599.99). I think you will find that the price jumps considerably when you go longer than about 20 feet or so. Our '05 vRide barely fits in this unit. We leave the tower up and the board racks on. In the case of the vRide it is 21.5 feet long, but with the swim platform it is closer to 23+feet. We fold the tongue on the trailer and it fits great. Construction is good. And as another poster said, I think that Cover-it is the company that makes most of them.

I bought a 27 foot canopy from COSTCO last year and have been very happy. I think the manufacturer is "King Canopy" out of Carolina. I posted a thread on the specs and assembly here awhile back. I foyu are interested I could look for the thread. Otherwise, if you want to see some pics you can check them out here:

Works great and now has side and end flaps/covers for almost complete enclosure. Has held up very well with high winds that we get near the Chesapeake Bay here in MD. Good luck!!
