Can you be a little more descriptive as to location? Is it the PCV valve on top of the valve cover?

You can clean/replace the thing. Maybe someone here can explain the smoke.

Is smoke escaping because the hose or PCV valve is cracked?

Does it only smoke under certain conditons? Like cold, hot?

I would definetely clean or replace both of them just for maintenance sake.

I think it's natural for a little steam to come out of them, mine does.

My hoses lead back to the flame arrestor, do yours?

Sometimes it means your piston rings or valves/guides are getting tired and there letting the combustion gases blow by :(
