Kids Wakeboard

My daughter and I were spending some quality time today in at our local Bu dealer

We were looking at wakeboards for her. She will be 4.5 this summer and weighs in arround 45 lbs. She is rather tall for her age/size. They had a Hyperlite kids Devine 119. They also had another Hyperlite a size smaller. The consensus was to go with the 119 so she doesn't out grow it right away. Plus it was pink which might me the selling point Biggrin.gif The 119 says for riders up to 105 lbs. The smaller board said for riders up to 95. Not a big difference.

What do you guys think?

Any other boards to look at?

Before the rest of you DD guys flame me for starting on the dark side, I also have the old kids combos in the garage and am getting them ready to go. She has just been so reluctant to get behind the boat, if a pink wakeboard would do it I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

I have a 4 and 2 year old boys. I just bought the liquid force nemesis off of ebay for 90.00. It was a blem, but brand new. For the price of it I can use it for 2 years and then jump up to a 120+ board. Hope this helps. We bought our boat from Wilsons.

Both of my kids started out on the LF Nemesis 119. It was perfect from the age of 5 till about 8 or 9. I think that finding bindings that are comfortable for the kids is just as important. If the bindings hurt their feet they will not want to ride.

One thing to consider is to let her try the board on and practice flipping it over in the water. When my daughter first tried a 119, she got pulled over the front while trying to get up. At such a young age, she was unable to flip the board back over and get back on her back. The life jacket held her up so she could keep her head above water but it was a little scary for her. Just thought I'd pass that on so you can avoid a first time scare that could keep her from wanting to try again.
