Any wakeskaters here?

Curious if there are any wakeskaters here. It seems like the popularity has fallen off a cliff in the US and I'm not really sure why - surfing maybe? It is still big overseas, especially Europe and SE Asia.

What kind of board and setup does everyone run? I ride mostly older Remote decks from their heyday in the early 10s. I learned behind an old Four Winns O/B, it was the perfect tow sport for me with that boat...and I didn't feel like I was going to tear up my knees like wakeboarders tend to do.

there are specific wake-skate boards; heavier, usually made of wood and with full deck track/grip tape.

Not expensive though, i think mine was <$200 for an intro one to play on.  I don't do it seriously tho, just a fun side toy that kids and i use from time to time -- nice that there are no bindings to deal with so people of various sizes can all use same thing, and my knees don't like having my feet locked into a board anymore either.
