Squeaking noise T220

Recommended Posts

Any ideas what is causing this? T220, the squeak happens when moving above 25mph. Its coming from the drivers side in the bow. Ballast is empty. I tried to cover the drain ports on the side and the air intake to see if that stopped this, but it didn't.

My guess is duckbill on the vented loop.

Where is the vented loop for the bow ballast? I remember these in the rear on my '18, but I haven't seen them on the '22.

You actually triggered a memory... on my '14, the fittings were installed upside down (rear vented loops) and squeaked!

I removed the seatback on the front of the helm and was able to see the problem. The bow ballast lines with the anti-siphon loop were just laying horizontal unsecured. I zip-tied the loop to the horn bracket for now to hold it vertically. I tested it and the sound is gone. I will have my dealer address this in the fall, but I'm so glad it was something simple.
