Water Stains Hull 2016 LSV

Recommended Posts

Over the weekend I was determined to get rid of what appears to be water stains in the hull of my 2016 Wakesetter LSV 23. I used hull cleaner, heavy buffing compound, and light buff compound... and much to my distain they marks remain. Any recommendations on how to get rid of these marks/stains?

You are using compound, but how are you applying it?

By hand and or a random orbital probably wont get that done. You will need a rotary buffer with the appropriate pad for the compound you are using.

A 50/50 mix of muriatic acid and water works well on most marine fouling and calcium carbonate deposits, or you can try something like Lime-Away which is a bit less caustic.

Don't forget to cover the trailer first, or at least wet it down well to dilute the drips.
