PCV Valve

Recommended Posts

I have a 08 Malibu 23LSV and replacing motor the plastic valve covers have 2 PCV valves the one that is on still is the 90 degree which connects by the injector rails is there. Is the opposite side one a 90 degree as well or straight one? Also what does it connect to? Thank you. I did not take motor apart shop did.

There should be only one PCV valve. The other is an open elbow with no valve inside - serves in the place of the breather filter you would see on an automotive application. It usually connects to some type of mount on the air cleaner. The PCV valve on the opposite valve cover connects to a port underneath your throttle body or on the intake somewhere. I don't have that exact engine or I could be more specific on locations.
