2002 sunscape LSV swim platform and 2005 VLX platform

I have a 2002 sunscape 21 LSV Malibu and the platform is original from when we bought it brand new in 02 with a window opening to drop down the wedge manually built into it. Over the years an Now with it being old the wood platform is starting to just fall  apart, cracking, molding and ready to give out any day from all the summer lake days over the years. But I am Curious if anyone knows if a 2005 Malibu 21 VLX platform that has the same opening window in it as our 02 platform would work on our boat?

It will fit if you swap the brackets over, but is your teak really that bad that it can't be restored?  It takes a lot to destroy teak platforms.
