Anyone got used cat inserts for EXTCAT?

Recommended Posts

I know a lot of people have broken these in the past.  Looking for just the inserts.  Indmar use to sell them but now you have to buy the entire manifold for 1500, which is absurd.  I think indmar hates Malibu people now since Malibu switched engine companies.

Wonder if you could break out the honeycomb catalyst and then use a MIL eliminator to fool the computer so it thinks the cats are working?  If/when mine go, I may try this if the manifolds are still so $$.

What size are they?  Aftermarket pucks seem to be available.

I've never seen catalyst substrate inserts available separately from the manifolds from Indmar.  Although, Volvo Penta and Mercruiser have had catalyst inserts available separately for years.  I think the Malibu M series also has removable catalyst.

I've seemed to experience very spotty support for Indmar GM legacy products over the last few years, for whatever reason.
