2021 Malibu 22 LVS Screen will not power on

Recommended Posts

what troubleshooting have you done?  Have you tried turning the battery switch to the off position, wait a few seconds and turn it back on?

Just look on the back side of the screens for any loose cables.  It could also be a fuse.  Did this just start happening?  Have you connected with your dealer (they should probably cover this under warranty work).

yes just started.   wires look good.  do you know which fuse goes to screen?  yes, our dealership is closed today.  we were hoping to take it out.

The breaker for the dash power is in the carpeted breaker compartment under the observer seat cushion and behind the battery switch.  There are two thumb screws and washers that keep the carpeted top panel in place.  Remove the thumb screws and washers, slide the carpeted top panel towards the port and off of the studs, then marvel at the mass of cables and wiring in the breaker compartment.  Push on the center reset levers to close a tripped breaker.

If that is not the problem, then there is likely a loose connection somewhere.  If you do not have much experience with 12 volt electrical systems it may be a bit overwhelming and best suited for your dealer to handle.

If you get a chance, ask your dealer to go over the location of each breaker, fuse, and the power module circuit reset procedure with you.  It is very important to know these things to safely operate your boat.
