Different soft grip material

I use a battery powered pressure washer that cleans the soft grip pretty easily only really bad spots need scrubbing, I agree it’s terrible though.

This is a good idea, do you connect it to a 5 gallon bucket or direct to a hose?

Our boat is stored offsite at a storage facility without water access, but I could take a 5 gallon bucket to lake and the portable power washer and use lake water to spray it down after getting it off the ramp

yes - 5 gallon bucket works, I also find myself just throwing the hose in the water at the dock and spray it down before we pull the boat out.

My prior Chap boat had a standard fiberglass deck with snap on seagrass covering and it was INFINITELY easier to clean.  Even with a boat full of kids with mud on their shoes it would only take me 5-10 mins to take out the sea grass, hose it down and replace.

On my new 2022 Malibu, the soft grip flooring is TERRIBLE to clean.  Every speck of dirt on somebody's shoes or feet gets ingrained into the material and hosing it down DOES NOT WORK and I have to break out the scrub brush and use dish soap to get everything out.

What used to be a 5-10 minute cleaning job just turned into a solid 60 minutes after every boat outing.

Don't get me wrong the Malibu flooring looks nicer than seagrass and feels nicer, but damn that thing is a monstrosity to keep clean

You say shoes on the boat?

Inflation...

Maybe they should raise the price like 20% or something the past two years ... Would that help cover the inflation? :Tease3:

I just don't even bother cleaning it anymore.  I would rather have carpet if that was an option. :(

It was in the past and the hand held vac sucks up Cheetos like a champ!

It doesn't feel great on the feet when soaked though

I wish they made some kind of snap in carpet style but made of the weved flooring like on pontoons.. feels great, water goes through it.. doesn't stain..

Isn't the standard flooring option still a snap in style flooring?

I don't remember any carpet or deckadence option - I am pretty sure the soft grip is standard.

Soft grip was an up charge in 21 for me..

Yup, soft grip is an upgrade in every boat. Standard is still snap on carpet.

I wonder if I can get the snap on carpet put in over the soft grip?   I might actually do that.
