What is this threaded part on intake of raw water pump?

I have a 2004 RLXI with the 340 Monsoon.  Had my intake hose off the raw water pump yesterday and noticed for the first time that their is a plastic piece that threads into the intake on the pump.  Looks like it is some kind of restrictor.   And mine is a bit deformed as it must have got too hot at some point.

Anybody know what this part is called?  I'd like to replace it and can't find a replacement part anywhere on the web.

Any guidance is MUCH appreciated!

Any chance you could post a photo?  Raw water pumps don't have a heck of a lot of plastic....

Thanks!  It looks like it's probably the port bushing the port bushing that CSleaver has suggested.  I'm going to give it a try.
