Low Oil Pressure Alarm / Service Engine Warning

Recommended Posts

On a few occasions after a long 15-20 minute cruising speed at about 3400 - 3600 RPM and I throttle down to idle my low pressure warning sound activates.  My oil pressure gauge reads 0 PSI.  Of course I immediately shut off the engine.  I then restart the engine a minute later and all is fine.  Anyone else have this same issue?  Took it to the dealer under warranty and of course they couldn't duplicate the issue.  They ran the engine at idle for 20 minutes and oil pressure was fine.  No fault codes as well.  I don't like this as oil pressure is critical.

What motor do you have and are you running the correct oil? I know the older hammerheads are sensitive to oil grade with similar issues.
