Accidentally Went Mud Bogging and Need Advice

Recommended Posts

Last weekend, we were cruising around 10 mph looking at an eagles nest and didn’t realize the lake/river got really shallow. The bottom is silt and so we were able to back out of it easily. (I was shocked there wasn’t any sort of depth alarm.) The prop has minimal damage so I’m currently trying to get it off to replace it but I have a few questions for you guys:

1. I loosened the nut and am using a prop puller but the prop won’t budge at all! Any tricks?
2. The bottom of the boat appears to be fine and there was just a slight vibration after the incident. Is there anything I need to get checked out or do such as flushing systems or anything since we ran through mud/silt?

Boat is a 2022 25LSV w/ 45 hrs. Just did the 50-hr service two weeks ago.

Smug the prop puller up, do not over tighten.  Hit the side of the puller with a hammer like it owes you money.  If that doesn't work, heat up the prop hub with a propane torch and try again.

Take a look at the strut to see if it looks straight, but chances are good it only hurt prop.
