Axis A22 2014 - Best setup for wakeboarding

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

For you what's the best setup for wakeboarding?

I have an Axis A22 2014 with 5.7 engine 330 and ACME 2315 propeller (floating wedge).

“Best setup”? What’s your skill level, how big do you want it?

In my 14 T22 I had a buddy who would ride with everything full, including 800 PNP and wedge. At around 500 elevation. It was slow to plane out, but it got there! 😁

You should be ok with that prop.

In my 13' A22 this is what I ran for wakeboarding:

  • Bow:  Arrow PNP sack under cushions full + 500 lbs ballast bag above seats full
  • Center: Hard tank full + 260lbs of lead wake I could move to balance the boat out
  • Rear: Hard tanks removed.  Sumo "1000lbs" sacks on each side of the engine full (note these sacks are really only around 850lbs based on measurements)
  • Wedge: deployed

Typically would ride at 75' with the speed between 22.5-23mph depending on the rider.  Great wake.
