Is there a way to integrate GPS Lake Maps to a 2021 MXZ?

I am looking to see if anyone has found a way to integrate marine maps into Malibu's command system?

Yes.   There is an app called I-boating.
just installed it on my 23 lsv last week.  looks like your screen setup is probably identical.

I have added the instructions below and a screenshot of it in my screen.  It seems like lot of steps but is very detailed.  App is $20 but seems to work well.   Steps are easy but be patient as the download can take a minute.
Need to be connected to wifi obviously

let me know if you have trouble or can’t read and I will email to you.

Really appreciate that old dog! I am going to download it over the weekend.

I downloaded it.  it seems pretty slow to update which makes it pretty useless for my purposes.  I am looking to update stumps or obstacles in my lake.

So maybe this is a dumb question, but how does it track the boat once downloaded?

Might be able to change settings on how often it pings the gps. You can on watches and other trackers.

I was searching around and there seems to be a number of other Android based nav programs out there. I will try a few this weekend and let you guys know.

Appears to use the gps already onboard.  If you click the auto follow button it will show a line of everywhere you go until you turn it off.
not sure how often it pings but seems to follow pretty much real time.
you can also add your own points of interest so could prob make obstacles that way.

Awesome. I’m going to give it a shot. Really only need it a few times a year and have it in my phone but if I can put it on the screen why not?!

Well, I got it downloaded, installed, registered and maps downloaded... however it keeps crashing and freezing the android screen. Seemed like it was going to work well but if that continues will be useless.

Not sure what the deal is.   Have only had the boat for a week but has worked fine for me me so far.  I meant to check the available storage space after I downloaded it to see if it is taking a ton of resources.
happy to hear of other programs. This is just the one that the dealer recommended.

Have to say, though, the android screen is like a much older and slower version of a kindle fire.   They really could use an  upgrade.

Agreed it could be better lol.

After I made that post I shut the power off to the main dash, did a few other things, then came back and seemed to work fine. I could zoom and move the map without issue. Hopefully it just was a first time up but. I’m not deleting navionics off my phone yet though.

Any rumors of the Garmin on 2022+ Axis boats having this functionality? I'd love to just be able to display navionics from my phone onto the Garmin

Hey Guys I heard there is an SD card under the glove box where you can plug in a Nav card? Can anyone validate? My dealer is a waste of time.

I can try to take a look the next time I’m in the boat if I remember. Used it all last week on a couple 20 mile plus runs and it worked great though.
