FIL was backing her in for me while I was going to get in the boat. Launched on Sunday.
btw, might be the worst launch in the state of MI. Launch is on the road and there is no dock either. Shallow water so spring is easier to launch than it is to take out in the fall when the water level drops a little. Either way, she’s in!

I’ve had a canopy on my boat since forever. I’ve never had any issues with wind.

I have a 2003 Shorestation lift and I'm on my 2nd canopy which isn't bad.  The biggest concern is a storm coming thru flipping a lift if your boat isn't on the lift ... think Mary Poppins.  I've seen some pics of lifts being flipped over with boats in them.  Both cases extremely rare.

In the last couple of years, I have seen two canopy's on our lake get bent back or mangled pretty bad from strong winds during a storm.  Both with the boats on them.  Pretty rare, but it can happen.  I have a Shorestation with a vinyl cover and haven't had any issues.  Some of the new canopies are a lot nicer, lighter and allow the wind to pass through them better than the original vinyl tops.  Downside is they are more pricey.

Dang purple martins found my canopied boatlift within an hour.  This late in the season I had hoped they already found a nesting dite.
