Trouble hanging Comptech Hydrofoil rack?

I am thinking about getting into Skyski this next year and was looking at rack designs.  The Compteck rack seems the most convenient for these inconvenient accessories.  Has anyone had trouble getting the Comptech rack to work on our towers?  G5 or otherwise?

Should be no problems as I think the Rack mounts are still basically same as they were on the G3.5 You will have to get the rack adapter for the dovetail mount.image.png.5c638fb3b9f3cef3539de12daf2b9990.png

Thanks.  That dovetail mount seems like it would have so much torque on it when bouncing across the lake with so much weight on it.  No problems with them slowly loosening?

Also, I assume that mounting on the upper position will not allow you to keep boards underneath the rack with the comptech rack loaded.  Is it in the way of everything else with a ski on it?

Have been running the G mount dovetails since 2014 with no issues. there is a lot of torque on them but I have never heard of a failure. I have turned my dovetail vertical instead of horizontal for height restriction reasons. Have to drill and tap one 3/8" hole for this. It also probably reduces the horizontal torque even though I have never had a problem with that. As far as loosening, I check mine at least 1 time a season but them flat heads tend to stay tight. Also, if they did loosen, they cant back out due to the rack adapter slid over top of them.

Drilling and tapping a new hole?  ugh...  I will cross that bridge when i come to it I guess.

Not necessary, I only did it to lower my rack for garage clearance with foil in it. I have run the stock position on other boats for years.
