Anybody apply seadek/gatorstep right above the swimstep on rear of Axis?

My kids and kid's friends do a great job of scratching the back of our boat w/ wakeboards and surfboards when loading/unloading from the swim step.  Other than telling teenagers to 'watch the gel coat, man!' what do you do to keep it scratch free?

I was curious if there is available on the market or if anyone did a custom seadek/gatorstep type material cut out to cover the area in red in the pic below?  I definitely want to do the lower area in black... not sure about the top area yet.

I have that exact boat and the number of times I have wet sanded the black is to the point I may hit fiberglass soon!

I did kind of the same thing on the rear of mine, but it was primarily for safety. That fiberglass might as well be a sheet of ice once it gets wet. You can’t see it in this pic but, I also put a strip of skate board tape in and on the inside lip of the cup holder to act as a hand hold when I get on the transom from the trailer. It makes a lot surer  hand hold and is invisible. Did the same thing with SeaDek on the bow but primarily for protection because that is our main docking and beaching route. I used painters  tape to template and SeaDek.9552017C-94AE-452A-9CA0-6132DD790A90.thumb.jpeg.f1048128b6aec085a9dca10af99a8991.jpeg17027EA8-58B5-4305-B8AD-FF9EB5FA7C06.thumb.jpeg.b793dc13a41bb8b5c42658260cf5655d.jpegAD77B724-74BA-46A9-91EA-57B0B809B30C.thumb.jpeg.ebe48f110f1f7744bf42309f5764dcc9.jpeg

Rather than paying money to protect the boat, why dont you educate the kids on responsibility

If this was my boat, scratch the boat, you go back to the dock and never get an invite again.  My kids, scratch the boat, and you go back to the dock and you're not coming out for the next 5 times we go out.

Accidents happen.  If some purposely damages it or is way out of control, sure, they will be let off the boat.  Especially if they aren’t safe.  When someone slips trying to put their wakeboard binding on and the board hits the boat, that’s an accident.  I hope they fess up and apologize but I’m not going to punish them.  I may teach them how to wet sand though.
