QQ, temp alarm sensor wire

Recommended Posts

A quick question:

While working on other problems with my 2001 Monsoon engine, I found the wire going to the temp alarm sensor was not attached.  Can someone please confirm that if the wire is off the alarm would not sound (it didn't, but I was wondering if it should have).

My thinking is when the temp senses high temp it grounds the wire and triggers the alarm.

I could check by grounding the wire manually, but though someone could confirm.

I think the switch opens when 4 to 6 PSI is established. I can verify in the morning, late morning.
