Leak at exhaust manifold coupler. Monsoon 340

Recommended Posts

Got a small leak at the exhaust manifold coupler. Maybe a drip every couple seconds. Searched the forum but can’t find much. Anyone changed the gasket in here before. How hard is it? Seems fairly easy except maybe getting the hose off between the dump and the muffler. 2009 VTX with Monsoon 340. Thanks.

It is not hard if you glue the gasket on place when installing the downpipe.  You can get gaskets from an Indmar dealer, 765006 GASKET EXHAUST ELBOW CATALYST, or just make one.  Make sure the v-band clamp is in good shape or replace it if needed, 735020 CLAMP V-BAND CAT EXHAUST.
