Is the factory running full tilt or still supply shortages?

I can't specifically speak for Malibu, but I can't imagine how they are not still struggling with consistent labor and supplied material flow to keep operating at a normal production. Us in the automotive world are still fighting it every single day.

The qtr report transcript stated that they are re evaluating production at all brands and supply chain at suppliers as well as labor shortages will negatively impact next quarter. I read it as prepping for lower results in current quarter and next finishing out the calendar year which is q2 fiscal. None of that is illogical given what we all know about world challenges

Makes sense - has the resin shortage gotten any better?  We have 2022 a22 on order (placed order late aug 2021) - hopeful we can get it May 1 2022.

you had a boat in hand for last two months of season, good luck😂

It's interesting to me how different suppliers are approaching these "shortages."

I work in packaging.  My plastics suppliers (which rely on resin) are controlling demand by raising prices (drastically.)  This has eliminated any kind of shortage as many projects just get put on hold or are no longer economically feasible.  If your project is critical, you've got no choice but to pay.

My paper suppliers have taken a different approach.  Prices are up -- but only slightly.  My vendors have imposed allocation limits on us.  If I purchased 5% of their available product last year, I'm only eligible to purchase 5% this year.  And this is with their supply dropping by 50%.  You can see the issue.  However, that industry has decided they need to spread the pain out and try to retain customer loyalty for the future.
