Shaper plate.

Hi all. I’m new the the site.
Hopefully someone can help me. Today we went out to do some surfing behind my 2005 wakesetter and when I opened the hatch on the swimming platform  to raise the heavy metal shaper it was gone. We used it last weekend and dropped it back down after using it. Now it’s gone. I don’t remember hitting anything and would have thought if we did it would have taken some force to break it off.
Are there replacements available. Has anyone seen these for sale somewhere?  Thoughts on how to replace it?
thanks

Hey Dcramm....welcome and sorry about your trouble.  That piece is called a wedge and has been known to shear off on some of the older models I think due to some problem with the bolts holding the plate to the arms.  I am assuming your "arms" where the wedge attaches are still intact?  I hope some others that are more familiar with the issue will chime in.  I think you will most likely need to find one for sale maybe in the classifieds on this site or maybe ebay or somewhere .  You say that you dropped it back down after using it?  The way it functions is when it is in the down position and when it is not being used should be raised up and locked into place under the swim platform.  It creates a downward force on the rear of the boat when in the down position equal to about 900 pounds of ballast.

Good luck with the repair!
