Sportster Water Leak in Back Drivers Side Corner

After taking my 2002 sportster out yesterday I noticed a small amount of water rolling along the drivers edge of the floor from the back corner when I would slow down and level out. After browsing the forum, I am concerned that this is a sign of hull separation. I can feel a small gap between the rub rail and hull in the back corner. Could it be just the rub rail is coming out or is it more likely hull separation? Is this a difficult fix? Any help and information is appreciated!
