New 2014 VTX - general questions

I have ALWAYS wanted a Malibu - that dream came true last Friday. This forum has been awesome with suggestions for surfing and skiing setups. I do have some other questions now though:

1) What kind of tower double ski rack should I get? The one from Bulletlines? And, how does it mount? https://www.bulletlines.com/Malibu-Illusion-X-Wakeboard-Rack-p/203.htm

2) I have an old bullet lines wakeboard rack - is there a way to attach it to my tower? The old coupling is way too small around to fit. Do I just need a bigger round mount? Anyone happen to know the right size offhand?

3) Do you guys use anything to protect the motorbox from the ski rope rubbing? I was thinking something like this: https://barts.com/ml-4-shock-tube

4) Do any of you ski from a center ski pylon? If so, do you know where I can buy one/ which one I need?
