Vinyl Replacement Fabric Recommendation Tan Color

Raleigh

Recommended Posts

My 2016 vinyl with 500 hours is cracking, on most of the seats in the aft of the boat. I’ve been using all the vinyl sauce products but here I am.

My wife would like tan, and we think just a flat one color would be fine, no beading. Has anyone replaced their Malibu threads with a flat color scheme?

Does anyone have experience with a tan vinyl replacement that will be durable and not so hot?

I don't have any insight to share on your actual question but I'd be interested to hear who you might be thinking to use for this vinyl replacement....assuming it will be someone local based on the location shown in your description. I had 3 rear seat skins replaced last year in my 2011 and the local Malibu dealer subbed the work out. After a couple tries of them not being able to match the light grey in the middle portion of my seats, they finally just gave me the last attempt and credited me back my money because they were tired of dealing with the upholsterer. Now I have 3 back seat skins that are in great shape but more tan than grey and don't match the rest of my boat....but they were free. I've dealt with it largely because I can't get the resident MC vinyl expert, Gabe, to return my calls but if there was someone local that you've had (or will have) good luck with, I might want to give them a shot.

I'm debating a replacement this year or next. Inland recommended this place. I have actually used them for car repair work in the past and they did a great job. They recently moved to a newer building but were downtown for decades, by 42nd Street. https://autointeriorsandtops.com/

FWIW - I got my skins within 3 weeks of ordering them from Gabe.  Have only gotten around to replacing one of them so far, but quality work.  I had him replace the plasticy grid material that was cracking on all my seats with a normal smooth vinyl.
