I have a 1998 Malibu Sportster LX and I need to replace the teleflex steering cable. Does anyone know the length I need or part number? Or….. is there anyway to disassemble the head unit at the steering wheel to clean and relive the gear that moves the cable? I disassembled the rear tube that attaches to the rudder and that was cleaned and lubed.

Should be a 15'but the original part number is discontinued.

Is your current helm a rack or a rotary?

With that I can find you a part number for a current replacement.
