We have 2005 Malibu wakesetter, the vinyl is in good shape except seat that people step on has the seam coming apart.  Can this be repaired?

Good vinyl shop might be able to repair that for you.  The back seat on my dad's '01 VLX was like that.  He took it to a local shop that was able to remove the skin, sew in a new bead, and replace it.  There was enough "slack" in the skin that by not stapling it quite so tight around the bottom, there was enough material to repair it.  Can't tell by looking at it it was ever repaired.
