2002 Malibu 8.1 vortec killswitch shorting out.

2002 Malibu 8.1 vortec and the fuel pump went bad, replaced and now wont start... biggest issue is the killswitch hadn't been pulled in years and it was pulled and now the switch sparks and blows the ignition breaker when starting but the fuel pump will turn on shortly. So somewhere there is not a fried wire or short or something.. Any help would be great!
