2012 MXZ randomly stops and starts back up

Hello, we have a 2012 MXZ, with about 300 hours. This last weekend our boat shut off and “rebooted”, we entered the code and it started back up, no problem. Throughout the weekend, it would randomly (different speeds, nO apparent rhyme or reason) do this same thing. One day it did it several times in a day and the next day it only did it twice with several hours in between. We have an appt but the nearest dealer is several hours away and the quickest appt is 8.4.21.

It seems like it could be a potentially easy ish fix, given it starts right back up. Any suggestions would be really helpful, thanks!!

Check for loose cable connections under the helm at the ground buss bar, power cables, connector plugs, on the ignition power button, or a faulty power button.  Wiggle the wires under there by hand and see if it reboots to track down the faulty connection or components.

Can you unplug the MTC and start with a key?  Could be that the screen is ghost pushing the engine start/stop button.
