What is this piece next to the engine divided for?

Hey guys,

I have fat sacks in my rear lockers and I was wondering what this is for and if I can take it out as it looks fairly sharp?

 Thanks,

Probably best to remove if you don't use the table - could damage sacs. Also we replaced the motor divider rails with deeper aluminum ones. Keeps them from popping out when leaned on by full sacs.

Do you have a link for the deeper divider rails?

Do you guys keep the table on the boat and if you do where do you put it?

Instead of the thicker dividers, they make reinforcements like this.

I went to Home Depot and bought aluminum channel and made my own for less than $50 all in!!

I hauled my table around for years, and found it more of a pain to pull out and install, then put away.  I don't use it any more.

I have had that table channel in all my boats with fat sacks and never had an assue. I wouldnt worry about it. On the rare accasion that I have the table on the boat thats ware I store it and I place a dixie cup over the sharp aluminum table mount when using fat sacks. no issues ever.

Just search for aluminum trim channel - available lots of places.
