The starting engine code

We just bought our Malibu wakestarter lsv and we cannot figure out how to change the starting engine code into a harder code then just 1234.

I am glad I am not the only one who hasnt figured this out either!  looking forward to someone telling us how dumb we are

On a 2020 or newer Malibu Wakesetter the start code can be changed or disabled by touching the settings icon on the bottom left corner of the left hand screen, select Configuration, then selecting Start / Stop Settings.

What year is your boat? I have a '16 and there is a button (where the # or * button is on a phone) that says "Change" on the keypad display when you are unlocking.
