Ignition

Recommended Posts

I have 2008 23LSV anyone ever have issues with ignition not cranking on first cycle and having to cycle key in and off then cranking up? Only does it ever so often not every time.

When you say "ignition not cranking on first cycle" do you mean it's not firing on the first start attempt?  "Cranking" is what the starter does to the engine, ignition is what the spark plugs do.  Please tell us exactly what's happening.

If it's not firing on the first start attempt, but it does after you key up a couple times, then that means the fuel injection rail is losing pressure or needs additional pumping to pressurize it for start.  You need to put a pressure gauge on the rail and see what it's doing.
