Warning beep

Recommended Posts

Good evening

Tks in advance for your reply….

I get a warning beep only when going over 30 MPH.  I dont get the warning beep when running neutral and 3000 RPM.

Also, I did change the Crank, Cam, Knock sensors.  Unplug oil sensor… still get the warning beep!

any idea what could be the problem?

boat model: 2004 Malibue  LSV 25, 8.1 L

thank you

I have the same issue with me 2002 and can’t figure it out. I may find the beeper and poke it with a screwdriver to make it stop. It’s annoying for sure.

BEEP CODES — the 4 maintenance items that can trigger the beeper are:

  •  High engine water temperature (NOT dash sensor, and >203*)
  •  Low oil pressure (NOT dash sensor, and <6 PSI)
  •  High transmission temperature (>140?*)
  •  A diagnostics trouble code

The last one can be many things, but the beep pattern may help diagnose it.

Thank you for the reply.

I am using the Rinda DIACOM and the warning beep I get does not generate a fault Code.

Apparently, there is a description of warning Beep in Malibue user manual.

FInally, it was the Knock sensor......loose connector.

After changing 2 sensors with no result, I tried to unplug-plug back in the knock sensor and realised it was not connect properly (rusted)

Reconnected properly and back to normal.
