Idle oil pressure

Recommended Posts

What should the idle oil pressure be?   Monsoon 6.2L 410.   2017 21 VLX.

I just changed the oil.  Can’t remember what the pressure was at idle.  I’m reading 37-40 now.

A good rule of thumb is 10 psi for every 1,000 rpm.  Relief spring opens around 50-60 psi when warm, higher at cold startup.

Mine idles  35-40 and runs 60psi at much above 1/2 throttle

37-40 at idle sounds plenty healthy
