GSA Tabs vs Power Wedge

That's comparing apple to oranges IMO.  Power Wedge increases effective ballast at the rear of the boat making the wake on BOTH sides larger, and will affect the size of the lip on the wave but it is not side dependent.  The GSA Tabs work one at a time to mimic the surfgate and improve the surf wave on the opposite side of the GSA tab deployed.  You want BOTH wedge and GSA if you don't have surfgate.  (or any of the other wake shaper device but as a former owner of a boat with the GSA tabs, it is completely worth the $$$ and you can install it yourself if you are somewhat handy.)

I deploy the appropriate surf tab then adjust the wedge up or down for a larger shorter wave or a smaller longer wave depending on conditions and mood. The power wedge is an amazing tool. I would not own a boat without it.

I have GSA and floating wedge.  GSA controller can make adjustments to the wave similar to the power wedge, just probably more subtle. The dial controls the angle of the tab from skim style (shorter height, flater lip and a bit longer in length) to surf style (steeper, taller and a little shorter in length) and a few settings in between.  I've never had a power wedge, so can't give any input on the difference in adjustments to the wave.  I installed the system to have automation and the ability to make adjustments without filling and draining ballast, since I didn't have the power wedge.  It does everything we expected and then some.
