Engine Hours on 2020

Recommended Posts

Considering a used 23 LSV to avoid the long wait of a new build.  Is 275 engine hours excessive for a 2020 or about right. Is the warranty based on engine hours or year?

If the boat is in good shape then engine hours shouldn't be a problem. I thought the warranty was based on time, 3-5 years. I can't remember. Yes, 275 hours is a busy season on a boat.

Larger question would be regular oil/impeller change, every 50 hours.  If that is documented with receipts or service tickets would make me feel better.  That is more than the typical hours in a year but not a problem with proper maintenance.  The warranty is time limited, if may have an hour limit but never seen that mentioned, presume the boat has not been used for a commercial enterprise, that might impact the warranty as well.  The warranty can only be transferred ONE time and there is a fee for the transfer based on comments on the forums.  if you would be the third owner you would have NO factory warranty.
