2018 MXZ with a surf gate stuck open

Recommended Posts

Does anyone with a 2018 have experience with the surf gate being stuck open? My left gate is open, and I have tried the following:

1) switching the sides while under power from left to right.

2) I have pressed calibration and service a bunch

3) The circuit breakers in the port locker do not seem to be popped.

4) I have jiggled the wires coming into and out of the hydrolic piece

Is there another place I should be looking? Folks have said look for a fuse at the front of the engine but I have not seen anything like that. I saw a single 30amp fuse, but that was it. Suggestions on next steps?

So, it magically fixed itself and I have no idea why. So, if you anyone searches for this my best guess seems to be to go watch fireworks and awesomeness happens.

Do a shut down (power cycle) flip off battery at Perko and re-boot.

if that doesn’t work, run calibration,

if that doesn’t work put into service mode(both gates should extend. Then exit service mode they should retract.

if you get the surf gate extended error while under way and the gate doesn’t extend, try hitting the (center) gate position and wait until it shows both in center position, then push the button for surf left/right depending on your surfer position
